Project Linden, Inc. would like to invite you to join a growing number of people who are dedicating their time, energy and passion to improve public understanding of America's number one health problem: addiction to alcohol and other drugs.
We believe understanding starts by putting an accurate face both
on the problem and on the answer. Addiction is a disease
that does not discriminate. But it is also a disease with
a solution - RECOVERY.
|
Here's what you
can do right now to smash the stigma of this illness and promote
the power and possibility of recovery.
- If you are a person in recovery, share this with someone in your community who does not know it.
- If you are the family member of someone who has either struggled with addiction or experienced recovery too, share this information with someone in your community who does not know it.
- If you work in the treatment field, talk about your successes. Let people know that treatment does work and that people do recover.
- And, decide to make a generous donation to help fight drug addiction and alcoholism in the Columbus and Franklin County community.
|
It
is estimated that 15% of the population suffers from drug addiction
and/or alcoholism. This does not even take into account the number
of families, spouses and children affected by the disease. Your
donations will benefit Project Linden’s Alvin R. Hadley Counseling
Center programs which provide outpatient and intensive outpatient
group and one on one counseling to men and women who are addicted. |
|
Additionally, we provide positive youth development and ATOD (alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs) prevention services which include but are not limited to, programs that build life skills to prepare youth for graduation, work, and civic responsibilities and to prevent them from entering the juvenile justice and child welfare systems. Our dedicated team also works within schools, community agencies and recreational centers to educate pregnant and parenting teens and youth involved with drugs and gangs. |
|
Your contribution is totally tax deductible and should be made payable to Project Linden, Inc. Your gift will help to change and save the lives of individuals and families affected by the disease of addiction. Thank you for your generous support and we look forward to receiving your donation. Feel free to call 614-221-7790 if you have any questions. |
